Honda CRV Driveshaft
One day we were just driving down the road coming home from the store and we heard a loud pop and a grinding noise, we pulled over and looked and seen the driveshaft decided it wanted to delete itself and take the gear shift cable with it.
We could of drove it without the driveshaft in
which as long as your transmission is a closed loop and does not leak oil or grease like ours then you can do it but if its not then you cannot do that.
We could not drive it without the gear shift cable so I decided to go on amazon and find my parts because it is cheaper there then going and ordering from a part store and they came in quicker also.
I have not had a single problem with it using amazon parts, they hold up better than going to an auto part store.
The driveshaft was simple to take out it was only 4 up front and 4 in the back and then it popped off, then replace it with the new and it was done.
The shifting cable on the other hand, we had to tear down the steering column, find where there shifter cable was remove it from the nut on the shifter and then go down beside the driveshaft and then plug it in to where it was suppose to go. This was simple also and an easy fix the only time consuming thing was tearing it all the way down and waiting for parts to get here.
